Health Spotlight

Stay Proactive, Be Well

The SHC continues to monitor Respiratory Virus Activity levels in Washington, D.C. and nationally.  With community levels of many respiratory infections such as influenza, COVID and RSV increasing, we recommend that you take protective measures like getting vaccinated for COVID and influenza to protect yourself from severe disease and wearing a mask to reduce the spread of infection.

Seasonal Vaccines

Flu vaccine is available at the SHC by appointment or by dropping in 9am-4pm Monday through Friday, while supplies last. Students with the Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) receive Flu vaccine at no cost, and the fee is $25 for those without SHIP.

COVID vaccine is available at retail pharmacies and at GW's MFA Pharmacy
